Can't add citations to Word at all

I click 'add citation' and the library just shows as a red bar and then nothing happens. I can't search for the article i want to site or anything.

Restart Zotero and submit a Debug ID for an attempt to cite.

I have the same problem with Zotero 7. Zotero 6 (latest version) does NOT produce the same problem.
