Synch Error: File Cannot be Created

Since moving to the new Zotero 7 64 bit and also installing in on a new Laptop, I regularly get an error that files from the Synch (i.e. ebook attachments) cannot be created:

"The file 'C:\Zotero\storage\Z9TEQMQT\Boréus and Bergström - 2017 - Analyzing text and discourse eight approaches for the social sciences.pdf' cannot be created.

Check that the file is not currently in use, that its permissions allow write access, and that it has a valid filename.

Restarting your computer or disabling security software may also help."

Error report 846568313

I have excluded the Zotero folder from the virus software, so that cannot be the problem.

I'm afraid we can't really say more than what it says in the error message. Note, though, that you have your data directory in an unusual location at the root of the disk, and that excluding the Zotero data directory itself isn't necessarily sufficient:
[JavaScript Error: "NotAllowedError: Could not move the source file(C:\Users\[…]\AppData\Local\Temp\Zotero\Z9TEQMQT.tmp) to the destination(C:\Zotero\storage\Z9TEQMQT\Boréus and Bergström - 2017 - Analyzing text and discourse eight approaches for the social sciences.pdf)" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/file.js" line: 1399}]
Beyond that, if this is an institutional computer, you should ask your IT department.
