Zotero android beta crash - id 1074923000

I have been successfully using the zotero for android beta for several months on an Onyx Boox noteair2 without any issue. Today I tried to update the app today via the Play store and now I am having issues. Currently whenever I try to highlight text the app crashes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted my device and made sure the device is updated. Is there anything else I should try?
