Upgrade StorageSelect author from list populated by Authors within a library

Our organization is perhaps moving from a custom bib interface using sqlserver and ASPX to Zotero which is accessed by a custom Drupal 10 module. I'm trying to find a search option that I can build that will allow a user to select from a list of authors that is generated by all of the unique authors in a Zotero library. this would eliminate false negative search results becuase someone mis-typed a name etc. Does this option exist or can it be built in with the API search tools?
