editing tags and losing the thread

Hi

While editing tags on the right-hand pane, we "lose" the ability to know which item we are editing.

To find out where I am, I need to go to the Info tab, check the title, and look for it in the middle of the centre pane. Only then can I proceed to the next item, which becomes difficult when working with several items.

Is there a way to identify the item I am unaware of, or does it need coding?

1) The item is still shown as selected in that second screenshot. It's just gray instead of blue.

2) Upgrade to Zotero 7.

You are right, it was a matter of adjusting the screen light.

I've upgraded to Zotero 7, it is great to see the improvements and new layout.

HOWEVER, the Abstract field on the right pane is no longer available. Can you please confirm you removed this option?

Please forget my last comment, I see it is available as a tab instead of a field in the Info tab.

All improvements have ups and downs. I see we are no longer able to switch publications and keep the same tab open. What I want is to see which items already have tags. In the previous version, I'd go to the following item and would keep seeing the tags tab; now it goes to the main tab when I switch.

I know I can save an advanced search, I was just used to work that way.
I'll get used to it!

Double-click on a tab (or right-click → Pin Section) to pin it as you move between items.

thank you so much @dstillman, besides pinning a tab, it is also possible to check the information while collapsing the tabs - they are kept and enable comparing fields between items. Great!
