Two incoveniences when adding citations with version 7

I've recently updated Zotero to the newest version, the redesign looks good, and the dark theme is appreaciated. However, there's two behaviors which are a bit of a step backwards. When inserting a citation, the Zotero search bar opens in the background (i.e. no longer in focus), and after it is inserted it changes the window focus from the document to Zotero. Two small incoveniences that add over time, especially when editing a document that relies heavily on citations. Can these be changed from any setting option I've missed?
  • Which OS and word processor? We have some fixes for this in the pipeline for Windows.
  • Ah, my bad. I forgot about providing these. It's Windows 10 Build 19045 and LibreOffice Writer 24.8.0.3

Although I'll probably be switching to Linux in the near future, W11 doesn't sound appealing to me so far. I'm just finishing up a few ongoing projects before making the switch. If this issue is also present in Linux, I'd be interested in a fix or a workaround eventually, even though I know it likely isn't a priority.

    Thanks for the reply!
  • If you want you can test Zotero Beta and see if the issue is made better.

Linux desktop at the moment has many different configurations and it works better in some than others. Currently the most popular Linux distribution Ubuntu with Gnome and Wayland works fine.
