updated zotero, can't add any citations now

I've updated to 7.0.5 at the suggestion of our librarian, and now whenever I enter a string of text to search for a citation to insert, I get the black lines spinning on the right of the search window (not the rainbow, iow). I haven't got the foggiest idea what happened or how to address it.

    Can you provide a Debug ID for Zotero startup through reproducing this, using the "Restart with Logging Enabled…" option?

    Okay I did that and it sent a number to Zotero. But also I got like eight "you have modified the citation" messages, which I haven't, so I don't know what that's about, and now I'm afraid that I'm gonna have to go through all my citations again, by hand, one at a time, and I'm scratching my head a little over how this is supposed to be a more productive use of my time and energy.....bleah.

    Well.....it's working now. So I guess we fixed it! I appreciate the help. Still wondering about those messages, but I'll cross bridges as I get to them.
