iOS Debug Log: D375284710

Zotero isn’t syncing with iPad correctly. The library seems to be old. My current library isn’t available on iPad. I’ve checked the Sync settings in Zotero settings on desktop and verified that the account was correct as are the settings. I’ve run the debugger on the iPad, but no change.

Currently running version 7.0.3 (64-bit) Zotero on desktop. The mobile version is current.
  • Hey @varx, do you mean that existing items in your library, miss e.g. annotations? Are you missing specific items? Something else?

If you update an item in desktop that hasn't synced, e.g. change any Info property, or edit/add an annotation, and then try to sync in iOS, does the item get properly synced?
  • Hi I am experiencing the same thing on my iPad. I recently purged my Zotero storage. On the Mac desktop app, I uploaded a few files to read on the iPad app. I can still see all the items that existed before purging my library, as well as the new ones. The new items synced, but the old items are all there. I did notice that all the old items’ tags were removed when I did the refresh/sync gesture on the iPad.

I also don’t see any of the new collections I’ve made, only all items, unfiled items and trash.
  • Hey @bunnysloth, can you specify how did you purge your library?
  • @bunnysloth: See Changes Not Syncing. Using "Purge Storage in My Library" has no effect on your library data (and very likely wasn't something you actually wanted to do — what were you trying to accomplish?).
  • @mvasilak @dstillman Sorry, my description was not correct when I typed my previous comment on my iPad. I wanted to use Zotero on a clean slate. In hindsight, I probably could have deleted the collections from my library too. There weren't a lot of files to begin with, but they were all stored in Zotero File Storage. In the Mac app, I did Settings > Sync > Reset > Replace Online Library, since there was no local Zotero data. Then, I went into my account online and confirmed that my storage usage was 0 before starting anew.
