How disable translators?

Hey! I tried every fix in the forum before posting to no avail.

I want to disable translators altogether so that every web page is saved as such, not as a forum post (twitter), software (github), etc.

I need this for an automation that I am working on. Every web page should be saved as such accompanied by a note etc.

No matter what I do though (delete/put permissions on translators folders, specify to not update them, etc.) they always appear again.

Is there any other fix? A config in the connector maybe?
  • Sorry for bumping but this issue is still bothering my work flows
  • I would assume deleting all translators and making the translator folder read only for the current user account should really do it, but if that doesn't work, I don't believe it's possible. It's obviously not anywhere close to common use, so not something that'd have a config.

You're aware that you can always get the webpage import from the connector via right-click on the Save to Zotero icon, yes?
  • @x0rc1st: Zotero also supports importing bookmarks files (in the "Netscape bookmarks.html" format that all major browsers still export). Each bookmark is imported as a webpage item. No snapshots, though.
