I am experiencing difficulties with Zotero updating references in my documents. I have followed the troubleshooting steps, including closing Zotero and Word, debugging, deleting old versions, and reinstalling the latest version. Unfortunately, the issue persists across all my documents.

You haven't followed the troubleshooting steps in full. They end with a request for specific information, without which we can't help you, and they also explain how to identify the part of the document that's causing the problem.

Do you mean that you get an error trying to insert a citation into a new, empty document?

No, I mean all the documents that I used Zotero for longtime have errors when try to insert new references but it is ok for the new, empty document

We can't help you without the Report ID the troubleshooting page asks for.

And you'll want to test in a completely empty document. Don't type anything else or paste anything from your existing document.
