error while editing style

Hi

I am trying to edit the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations style to have the "call number" field at the end of the bibliography output.
I tried to add the following to the FAO style: adding the "text variable" line to the 4th line from the bottom

and it is generating the following error:
Error parsing style:
Error: File is not valid XML

Can someone help me with this? I follow your guidelines, but I am not a programming expert...

The screenshot looks right and doesn't show an error. We'd need to see the code that actually triggers the error (you can post to pastebin.com or a similar code hosting site and provide the link here -- no registration needed on pastebin)

Sorry for the delay.
The code is in the notepad attached.
I have to say that when I type the "<" in the 4th line from the bottom, the error I mentioned above is generated. it doesn't happen while typing other letters/symbols.

Your line 456 is erroneous.
Change to:
<text variable="cal-number" prefix="."/>

Show us the style again on pastebin, but first double check that line. In particular l, the / at the beginning is the most likely cause of the error message
