Double-click behavior suddenly changed: Switched from opening URL to opening Snapshots

As of this morning (September 9, 2024), double-clicking a Zotero entry now opens the Snapshot rather than the URL.

The URL does open if I click the entry's URL tag, or right-click the entry and click “View Online”, or click (view) the Snapshot and click on the URL listed.

This was NOT happening last night. Now it happens for any new entries, both those I create today, and ALL previous entries (I have hundreds of them), even those from years ago. (Well, I opened about 30 randomly from various dates, and the behavior is the same: The snapshot opens rather than the URL.)

If I DELETE the Snapshot, then double-clicking opens the actual URL.
I looked at a few previous discussions on this, but did not find any help with my situation.

Has something changed? I have my Library synced, and this happens on multiple computers. I on version 6.0.36.

    Just saw version 7 is available, so I installed it (version 7.0.3 b4-bit for Windows).

    But that did not fix the problem: Double-clicking an entry still opens the Snapshot, even when the entry has a valid URL.

    Double-clicking the parent item has always opened the snapshot if one is available. If you want to open the URL, you can do that from the URL or DOI fields in the right-hand pane.
