Citation function not working on IOS
Hello,
I am loving using Zotero to read and take notes on my iPad, however I cannot get the export citation function to work. When I select the copy citation option within the document reader I receive an error pop up stating “Could not generate citation preview”. I have also noticed in settings on the main screen, under the cite option, I cannot select any of the available styles, no tick appears next to them when I try and select them.
Has anyone got any pointers on how to get this functionality working please. I am using the most up to date IOS 17.6.1
Thanks

dstillmanedited September 8, 2024As in the desktop app, you select a style in the Quick Copy settings, not the Cite settings, which are just for adding/removing styles.

dstillmanI can reproduce an error if I try this from the reader for a standalone PDF. Is that what you're trying? It's just a bug that that appears as an option — we'll fix that. You can only generate citations and bibliographies for attachments with regular parent items containing metadata. (Note that Copy Citation/Bibliography only appear in the context menu for regular items in the items list.)
