Unwanted deletion via syning?

Hello,
if, by misfortune, data on the zotero server are deleted, will the corresponding data on the local machine become deleted too the next time syncing occurrs?
I have "automatically syncing" disabled, but I fear, if I set up Zotero on a second computer (with an empty local database and automatically syncing enabled by default), the server database will be "synced" with the empty database on this second machine (i.e. deleted), and next time, I switch on the first computer, the database on that machine will be synced with the empty database on the server (fortunately I keep backups). Will that be possible or have I a wrong view of syncing?
Richard
  • Deletions are synced explicitly. An empty database can't overwrite an existing database unless you use the Restore to Server reset option from the empty computer and Restore from Server on the populated computer.
