Upgrade Storage[Feature Request] Third-Party PDF App to Open PDF in Zotero for Android
Hey Zotero team,
I've got a feature request that I think could really enhance the Zotero experience on Android. How about adding the ability to open PDFs using third-party apps?
Here's why I think this would be great:
a) Better annotation tools: Some apps out there, like Flexcil, have some pretty nifty pen and pencil features. This could be a game-changer for those of us who love to mark up our PDFs.
b) Improved readability: Ever tried squinting at a PDF on a small screen? Apps like KOReader can reflow the text, making it much easier on the eyes.
c)Font flexibility: Different apps offer various font options and customizations. This could make long reading sessions more comfortable for users.
I know this might mean we'd lose some Zotero-specific features like progress syncing or keeping all our annotations in one place. But for those of us who really need these advanced PDF features, it would be a worthwhile trade-off.
What do you think? Adding this option could make Zotero even more versatile and user-friendly. It would be great to have the choice, depending on what we're working on.

I think at the very least we can add a button in the Zotero for Android client to open in an external PDF reader.
