Truncate list of authors
Hi community, I have a special case. The publication cites >1,000 authors. Fair enough, but impractical to use. It produces almost 2.5 pages of output when cited. I cannot do that, but I would use an "et al.".
Now the question is, can Zotero handle this in any way? Hitting "more" nearly freezes the app (on fast hardware) and takes ~1 min to load. Regardless of the load time, no one can remove >1,000 authors.
I'm thinking of exporting to bib and re-importing after the "surgery". Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

adamsmithNo option to truncate in Zotero, no. You can build et al. into any citation style, though. You can set the threshold (et-al-use-min) high if (like 99) if you don't generally want it and still want to catch the particle physicists.

ZorozeroNo problem. The workaround worked. Export and reimport.
