surface pen stopped highlighting in Zotero

I am new to Zotero and i could highlight within articles until yesterday. Today, I cannot highlight, I can only select text. Does Zotero work differently with different texts?

Same on OnePlus Pad : selecting the highlight and the colour doesn't allow me to effectively highlight the document. Touching the screen with the Oneplus Pen has no effect.

On which Zotero version did it stop working, and on which version (maybe 6?) was it still working?

I'm on Windows 11 on a Surface Pro 9, with Slim Pen 2, Zotero 7.05

I mainly work in the Notes section, using transcriptions.

I can't select text in either Notes or in the PDF viewer. I want to be able to highlight relevant text but can't. I can understand in PDF, but shouldn't it just act like a mouse in the Notes section?
