John Bell, ‘Legal Research and the Distinctiveness of Comparative Law’ in Methodologies of Legal Research : Which Kind of Method for What Kind of Discipline? (Hart Publishing Ltd, 2011) .

    Rita,
that works for me just fine. For a subsequent citation I just get "1 Bell."
Can you test this out in a fresh document?
  • I have tested this out on a new document, saved another copy and cut and paste in another document same problem.
  • Hi can you please help me resolve the issue as I am still getting full citations every time I use a reference I have already used. This started after I updated the Zotero to the new version. If I go back to the old version will this help. Can you tell me how can I go back to the old version?
  • Reverting to Zotero 6 very likely won't help. The question about the new document was whether inserting the same item twice in a fresh document creates a proper short version.

For your issue, can you try clicking "Refresh"
  • unfortunately, it doesn't create a short version. I have tired the refresh button it doesn't work
  • How about the completely new document with two citations?
And in your original doc, what happens if you switch to a different style and back
