JMIR Citation Style

Hello Zotero!

I'm getting ready to submit a paper using JMIR citation style. They are asking for journal titles to be all lowercase, except for the first word. See below for example:

Kourou K, Exarchos TP, Exarchos KP, Karamouzis MV, Fotiadis DI. Machine learning applications in cancer prognosis and prediction. Comput Struct Biotechnol J. 2015; 13:8-17. doi: 10.1016/j.csbj.2014.11.005

My references for journal articles are being formatted as follows:

Bagley SM, Ventura AS, Lasser KE, Muench F. Engaging the Family in the Care of Young Adults With Substance Use Disorders. Pediatrics. 2021;147(Supplement 2):S215-S219. doi:10.1542/peds.2020-023523C

Am I doing something wrong? Or does this need to be fixed on your end?

Is the title is entered correctly in your Zotero library?

One more thing! References also not including ISBN numbers for books!

The title is entered in Title Case in my Zotero library. If I switch the title in the database to sentence case, the title is formatted correctly in the document. But I assumed that Zotero would be able to recognize the text and format it correctly in the references? Or is this not the case?

In other words, it is working if I manually switch all of the titles in the database to sentence case. But didn't realize I had to do that for each citation style that I use.

It works the other way round. A citation style will make title casing for you, if needed.
(You can do the switch with a right click, if you didn't know)

If you share a link to the guidelines and an open access paper I'll have a look later regarding the ISBN and can make the edits if it's required.

Oh, I see! I should be saving all of my titles in sentence case then? Is there a way to program Zotero to do that? Or do I do that manually when I save a new citation?

Our JMIR style already includes the ISBN for books as I see now. Make sure you actually have ISBNs for your items.
However, I've submitted a fix to also include the ISBN for book chapters as required.
