"Error updating the document" when adding a citation

The problem started after updating Zotero 7. The error occurs with old and new documents. Word is updated.

I followed Zotero Word Processor Plugin Troubleshooting -instructions.

“Zotero experienced an error updating your document.”

1. Restart your computer. Start Zotero before starting Word.
2. I´ve deleted Zotero.dotm, and reinstalled the plugin.
3. Neither is run as an administer.
4. I have disabled my security software (Norton).
5. I don´t have multiple profiles in Zotero.

I once again uninstalled Zotero and word-plug-in and reinstalled them. Problem remaines. Report ID:1299524422.

In Word Options → Advanced make sure “Typing replaces selected text” is checked.

Did that and now it says:
XML Parsing error: no root element found
Location: chrome://zotero/content/integration/progressBar.x

You might need to remove any citations that failed to insert into your document. Otherwise it should work.
