Adding Zotero Connector to Safari

I have installed Zotero on my iMac. According to the documentation Zotero connector is bundled with it. When I go to Safari extensions however it brings me to the app marketplace for apple and Zortero does not show up. Would welcome any guidance on what I am doing wrong
