Upgrade StorageZotero as a work environment --- a simple extension
In 2015 and stored multiple documents within a single item-folder, and backed everything in Zotero Storage. It worked beautifully. A whole complex project bringing together maps, quotes, art work, tables that had their own special setups in other item folders the output sent to the specific folder, everything in one place easily found and reorganised.
That year my computer died, and I used Zotero Storage to restore my work.... but only the first file in each project item-folder was found; three years work had to be started again.
PROPOSAL: A special Document-Type be created Project-Container; named and moved like any other, however it has a arbitrary content (folders, documents art work map data, etc). None of which will be filtered by Zotero storage. Then projects become items, and shared libraries and become cooperative projects.
Outside programs then can open and write to these containers, produce artwork in one and save the results into another, endless possiblities.
Please consider this extension and bring together Zotero storage, Zotero web access, and Zotero application, as a ubiquitous work space.
