Sync and PDF Issues

We are having issues with our syncing in Zotero. We pay for a group library which we share with four team members and we sync it whenever we add new articles into Zotero. However recently, when a team member adds in a pdf to an article in our group library, other team members are unable to view the pdf i.e., it appears hidden for other team members. How do we deal with this?
