Upgrade Storage[Bug] Ebook in-text search unusable/glitch

I've only tested two ebooks so far, but the same glitching behavior occurred in both of them. After I press cmd+f to search within the text of the open epub, I'll enter a term and the search starts flashing, appearing, then disappearing extremely rapidly. Sometimes it will successfully locate the first instances of the search term, but it can't progress to the next instance of the search term by hitting Enter or the arrow on the interface. In-text search becomes unusable. Also after I hit ESC to hide the search box, after some time it reappears again without apparent cause.
In the gif attached, you can see the behavhior I am describing. I am not pressing any keys with the mouse or keyboard. It's doing this on its own.
