Cannot search an item using its citation key after being related to another item

Hello, I found a bug that just appear recently and I suspect it's a bug of the Better Bibtex plugin after its latest update (for Zotero 6). Namely, if I try to relate an item A with another item B by in the Related tab of item A clicking the Add button and add item B, then after that I cannot search the item B using its citation key. If I then restart Zotero then I can search for B again with its citation key, but the problem comes back whenever I perform the above action.
Is there anyone experience the same? Any workaround? Thank you.
