Zotero frozen progress bar in safari google docs

Hi, I've continued to refresh the google doc, quit and reopen Zotero, but each time I click to either edit a citation, add a citation, open document preferences etc, nothing works and I get a solid red horizontal "progress" bar that is static for minutes (until I try refreshing again). I updated to latest version (7) and the extension is also up to date. thank you for your time and help!
  • Make sure the citation dialog isn't just appearing behind your other windows. That's the most likely thing here.

If you're sure it's not that, can you provide a Debug ID for reproducing this after restarting Zotero?
  • Hi, the dialog is just a solid red rectangle and is stuck. When I go to show all windows, I have the main Zotero citation manager, and the frozen red progress bar. Hopefully that was captured here in this debug output: D1205027648

    thank you!
  • Here is the debug output for the Zotero connector: D351212313
  • Do you have a different browser (Firefox, Edge, Chrome) that you can test on? Does it work there?
  • I have a totally the same problem with Zotero in Safari, Chrome, and even Ms. Word.
  • I have the same problem but the connector works in Chrome. I don't like using chrome because it tracks me.
  • @melisaiputri @mario%20atencio Please create a new thread describing exactly what is happening. See Reporting Problems
  • @adomasven I have tried this now in chrome and safari, and have tried making a copy of the document to edit citations in (in google docs still), and have restarted everything multiple times, and still I cannot edit the citations or bibliography or document preferences in my document. A report error I am getting is this: [JavaScript Error: "Method document/execCommand failed
    global code@connector.js:311:58"]

Can you restart Zotero and Chrome, then create a Debug ID from Zotero for an attempt to cite in Google Docs? Sorry if this seems like we're just asking for the same thing, but there are multiple reasons why this might not work and we need to see a debug log from multiple browsers to figure out what the cause may be.
