Copying Zotero directory to new computer does not keep open tabs

I just installed Zotero on a new computer. After installing, I copied my Zotero directory from my previous computer to my new one, expecting that this would allow me to see the open tabs on my previous computer on the new one when I booted Zotero up. This was not the case. Is there any way to bring Zotero over while preserving the (many) open tabs I have?
