Plugin checking before migrating to Zotero v7
This may be obvious to many people, but you should check before migrating to Zotero v7 that the plugins which are important to you have been updated for v7 compatibility. Some have not been updated. Some may still be updated soon, others will not; in which case alternative plugins or workarounds will be required. An example of that is Zotfile, which will require a change to zotmoov or attanger under v7.
To check your plugins, in Zotero v6 go to Tools\Addons. In the list of your plugins there, click on the More button for each. There should be a link there for their Homepage (usually at github). Click on the link to go to the plugin's website. If on github, check the Releases section on the right. If the latest release date is for 2024, chances are that it is v7 compatible. The list of all releases may also have a note below the particular release that was first made v7 compatible. Otherwise the front page instructions may state if the plugin is v7 compatible. Unfortunately if it's *not* v7 compatible, it's probably not going to say that explicitly - v7 just won't be mentioned anywhere, and the last release may be 2 years old or more. You can also check under Issues, where v7 compatibility may have been discussed.
