HELP SOS: Cannot cite using Zotero

I am not able to use the Zotero function as usual whenever I want to add in citation into my MS Word. I noticed it is because the difference of layout or setting whenever I add in new papers. It should appear as Photo with orange circle. However, my current layout as stated in Photo 1, which I can't use the Zotero function to cite in my paper. I already uninstalled Zotero, issue still surfaced. Anyone know how to troubleshoot this?

    I might not have understood your description, but that second image does not have a bibliographic item. It is just a standalone file you have added in zotero. You need to "Create a Parent Item" for that pdf file and fill in the bibliographic data.

    That usually happens automatically if you drop/add a pdf in Zotero, but if this was not an academic paper, there is no way for Zotero to know what the pdf file is about and a parent item with bibliographic data cannot be created.

    Easy to fix manually or if you save an item from a proper source (e.g., academic journal's webpage or a database).
