Styles "gone" after Mac Update to Version Sonoma 14.6

Hello, after the update of my Mac to OS version Sonoma 14.6 (23G80) (latest version) the list of styles under settings is empty. All styles are "gone". Also trying to download and re-import a style fails with an "unexpected error" (Report ID: 1133857884).

Is there a fix available or a patch planned?

You moved your Zotero data directory into your Documents folder. If you have Desktop and Documents syncing to iCloud Drive, that means you have your data directory in a cloud storage folder, where it absolutely cannot be. Zotero is getting an error just trying to read the style files in its own data directory.

You should move it back to the default location in the home folder.

(I doubt this has anything to do with 14.6 specifically, but a macOS update might evict iCloud files as a side effect.)
  • Hello,

thx for the quick feedback and help. This is indeed the solution. Apparently the OS update evicted the iCloud files and my connection wasn't stable enough to download them yesterday.
