cannot add any items--and serious error message
Hello all,
I find this a little too cliché, but I have to hand in my dissertation in 9 days. So any help is more than a little appreciated.
I cannot add any item to my library, and when I try to select any item, I get an error message, effectively shutting me out from using Z at all.

2) You're using Zotero 1.0, which is no longer supported. You can try disabling other Firefox extensions and checking your database integrity from the Advanced pane of the Zotero prefs, but if those don't help your best bet is to back up your Zotero data directory and dissertation documents and upgrade to 2.0.
I'll try out and see if it works.

I just wrote you a new message. I backed up my library and tried to install Z 2.0. Seems my library is corrupted. I tried to use the fix tool, in windows explorer (FF must be shut, right?) and it would not upload my sqlite. I know there's a manual way to do this, but I'm no computer genius. Any suggestions? I can't even get the Z window to open in my FF browser and have re-installed several times. I'm running 3.6.
Much appreciated,
Greg
But re-read the instructions on the DB Repair Tool page—you're uploading a copy (or, better yet, a ZIP) of your database, so you can use Firefox to do the actual uploading.
The DB Repair tool keeps timing-out, even though I have tried the zip and my library is only 14.78MB.
Thanks for your help,
Greg
