Deleting items from storage folder?

Hi all,

From these forums, I gather that if you delete an item in the Zotero library and empty the trash, then the file should be removed from the Zotero storage folder. However, this does not work for me, the item is still on my computer after deleting it from the library and emptying the trash. Is there any way to fix this?

    It's very unlikely that this isn't working. You might just have more than one copy of the same file in Zotero. You can paste the 8-character folder name into the Zotero search bar in All FIelds & Tags mode in the library root to see the attachment associated with the file.

    If you really think this is happening, we'd want to see a Debug ID for reproducing it.
