Upgrade StorageZotero better now on Mac?
In December 2023, I was drafting a 85,000 word dissertation with about 500-550 citations linked to Zotero, on a 2021 Macbook Pro. I experienced a lot of problems with refreshing/updating the citations, adding citations, etc. I am revising my dissertation now (July 2024), and I have the impression that even though it is slow sometimes, it takes not more than a minute to refresh and update (although I do have to press the refresh button at least 3 times) compared to 10+ minutes before; and otherwise does not crash as much as it used to. Has there been a good update between December 2023 and Jul 2024, or am I just getting lucky at the moment to have it all fail later?
I ask because as I move towards revising the dissertation in a couple of months based on my professor's feedback, I need to know what to expect. Will the Macbook continue to perform sufficiently with Zotero, or should I plan on shifting to PC?

a) on a Macbook with an M1 ('silicone') chip and
b) currently on the latest stable version (6.0.37) or the current beta (7.0...)?
