[Bug] Citation insert fails on line-end if follow-up paragraph style is different (Libreoffice)

Hi,
quickly reporting this, as it drove me nuts °°_°°
Title pretty much says it, but steps to reproduce are:
- Create new Libreoffice writer doc
- Change follow-up style of "Body Text" paragraph style to something else, e.g. "Body Text, indented" in Styles and Formatting/Organizer/Next style
- set current paragraph style to "Body Text". Type something and make sure, cursor is right before the End-Of-Line formatting mark
- Inserting a Zotero citation yields: "Zotero experienced an error updating your document."

Workaround: insert a space before EOL-marker and insert citation there.

Used versions:
Libreoffice:
Version: 24.2.4.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.10; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Zotero v6.0.35

Thanks for this otherwise nice citation program
Kind Regards
Tycho
  • I might be wrong, but I would say it is more an LO v24 related problem. I reverted to LO v7 because of v24 issues
  • Yep, you are wrong. Just tested it (in less than a minute) in LO 7.6. Exactly the same behavior.

    Version: 7.6.6.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
    Build ID: d97b2716a9a4a2ce1391dee1765565ea469b0ae7
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.10; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
    Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: de-DE
    Calc: threaded
