I cannot retrieve my Zotero library data from my Mac desktop.
1. All of a sudden my Zotero data disappears! (This happened, I suspect, after I ran “First Aid” of my hard drive via Disk Utility App. But this is my won hunch of why my data disappeared. I use MacBook Pro 14-inch, 2023. (See Image 1 and 2)

2. My data appears fully intact and located in the proper location: Users/mac/Zotero. (Image 3)

3. As the image 4 indicates, I have:
zotero.sqlite … 5.1 MB
zotero.sqlite.bak … 5.1 MB
zotero.sqlit.1.bak … 1.1 MB

4. A storage folder containing all subfolders of my data appears intact (image 5).

5. I recently upgraded my Zotero online storage to 6 GB (Zotero account with associated email ) I did not keep my data online and opted to remain using my local/computer hard drive as the location of the data.
6. When I login to my online account I see a “mirror” image (image 7) of my library but a handful of entries are accessible (e.g., entries stored as PDF, for example, are not accessible/cannot be opened).

If you were syncing before, you can just sync to pull down your data.
Disk Utility is very unlikely to have done this, but the macOS disk-cleaning tool will happily delete your Zotero database. Make sure you don't run disk-cleaning software without making extra sure you understand what you're deleting.
