PDFs from Elsevier unable to save in zotero - Chrome extension

it is no longer possible to save the pdfs from Elsevier journals directly in zotero (it says an error occurred while saving this item). I need to download the pdf and import manually in the actual citation (the article is saved accordingly but the pdfs no). I am using zotero for chrome. Any help, much appreciated.
