Zotero Missing UI Fields for Chapter and Section Numbers
It looks like Zotero may be missing fields for entering a chapter number and section number in a bibliography entry. The IEEE Reference Guide shows the following format for referencing a book:
[3] J. K. Author, “Title of chapter in the book,” in Title of Published Book, xth ed. City of Publisher, (only U.S. State), Country: Abbrev. of Publisher, year, ch. x, sec. x, pp. xxx–xxx.
The first time you cite the reference, the citation contains only the bracketed number [3],
and the bibliography entry contains the locations (ch., sec., pp.). But you can't enter a ch. # or sec. # because these fields don't exist in the Zotero UI.
Since IEEE does not allow the use of ibid, if you have to cite the same reference again with a different location, the citation includes the location after the bracketed number. IEEE gives the following examples:
[3, Sec. 4.5]
[3, Ch. 2, pp. 5–10]
Zotero offers the option to choose the section or chapter for a citation, and I was able to create both examples. The second example was created by choosing Chapter and entering "2, pp. 5-10".
However, because of the missing UI fields, I was not able to create an IEEE-compliant bibliography entry with the ch. and sec. #s.
