Cannot import PDF file from JAMA

edited July 13, 2024
I cannot get the PDF files for the articles published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, using the Zotero Connector in Firefox. For example:
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/article-abstract/181893
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2816237
  • Thank you.
Can I replace the file somewhere to test it, or just wait for the validation of the PR on GitHub?
  • If you want to test, you can download the Silverchair.js file (using the Raw link on github) and place it into the "translators" folder in Zotero's data directory, overwriting the existing file (if on Windows, make sure the file keeps it's .js file extension. Sometimes windows saves these as .js.txt, which obviously won't work).

I think you might have to restart both Zotero and your browser before retrying (not quite sure how the new update mechanism for translators works when manually saving them).
Obviously this isn't expected and you can also just wait, the above is just if you're curious.
  • Thank you.
I have downloaded the modified Silverchair.js file, and I was able to get it to work on this open access article:
    https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2813880

It would be great if it could also support the automatic download of supplementary files.
