Windows cannot access Zotero since the 10/07/2024!!

Since yesterday, Windows says it cannot access Zotero anymore.
Anybody else come across the same problem and do you know how to fix this?
Help would be immensely appreciated, thank you.

    Not sure what you mean by that. What's the exact error you're receiving? Can you share a screenshot?

    This is the message I am getting (pasting the screengrab does not want to work either, sorry):

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero\zotero.exe
    Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

    I have uninstalled Zotero and re-installed it. Uninstalled the extensions for Edge and re-installed them. Restarted the desktop machine after. Closed and restarted MS Word. Don't know what else I can do!!

    That'd be a problem on your system, not anything related to Zotero. We're not able to provide general Windows guidance here, so beyond uninstalling (including deleting that entire "C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero" folder if necessary), you'd have to ask Microsoft or a Windows support forum for help.

    If you want people to use Zotero, you need to make sure that, when Windows issues updates - as they have done yesterday - your Zotero is running with this. You lot need to talk to Microsoft!

    Again, this has nothing to do with Zotero, and it's not any sort of general problem that would affect the millions of people who use Zotero. It's some sort of permissions or filesystem problem on your computer.
