Install Zotero 7 alongside Zotero 6

I want to try out Zotero 7 for work but I still need Zotero 6. Is it possible to install both?

On Windows you can use the Zip version as noted on the beta builds page. I think the Linux tarball unpacked in a different location should work similarly on Linux. I don't know of a comparable option for Mac.

On macOS you can just give them different names in Applications.

Can the two installed versions operate on the same database (obviously not at the same time), or must you keep separate databases ?

You can switch between them.
