Upgrade Storagecannot locate pdf file of an item

Over the years some items in my Zotero library have accumulated several pdf files and in some cases, a single pdf file hasn't been updated since I first created my library. I have moved my library from different machines and now I am using the online storage. My problem/question is how could I deal with missing pdf files? Is there anything one should avoid to have this problem?

If you're using a different computer, files might not have synced from the computer where they were added. A couple hundred files in your library aren't available online, but they were all added over 10 years ago (and it looks like either you were using WebDAV at the time or you once purged files in your library from your storage settings).
We'd need a Debug ID for an attempt to open a file to say more.
