zotero automatic file importing missing under 'general' preferences

Previously, I was able to import ris file from google scholar into zotero automatically. Suddenly it is not working. I searched around and learned that there is a section under 'general' section of the preferences to enable 'automatic file importing'. Yet I could not enable this as there is no 'automatic file importing' option at all. I am using chrome, and a macbook. I missed the automatic importing from google scholar! Thank you!!
