That wouldn’t be about having citations — it means the plugin’s document preferences aren’t being saved in the document properties. You’re likely saving in the wrong file format, but you’d have to say more about your setup, provide a Report ID, and provide exact Steps to Reproduce for us to help. You haven’t even said what word processor this is.
What version of Word are you using? Open a Word document, choose File from the top left corner, and then click either Account or Help on the left nav bar. You’ll see your Office version and information under Product information, on the right side of the window.
If you use any proprietary security software - temporarily disable it. Restart your computer, then try citing again.
open doc - clik zotero - clik add/edit citation - floating zotero task box appears - type in key words and select the relevant reference this is where the error appears.
tried diff actt. same result. biblio still not being generated & each citation is being treated as a stand alone citation by zotero
Your last Debug ID shows a new document being created in OneDrive. Can you provide another Debug ID for creating a new document and trying to insert a citation after making sure the file is stored on the local disk and saving to OneDrive is disabled?
Do you have any other plugins besides Zotero installed in Word? If so, could you see if it works with them disabled? Also, after inserting a citation, are you not getting a popup that says an error occurred in the Zotero word processor integration?
yesi am getting an error. only grammarly installed other than zotero. Whats strange is that this has started out of the blue. i have been using zotero reularly, no change of settings.
This is extremely frustrating because I just bought additional storage for zotero as One of the errors was that storage is insufficient! Kindly advise if these charges can be reversed and can I transfer my data to another extension/plugin etc?
We can refund a charge you just made if you email storage@zotero.org, but note that this doesn't have anything to do with storage, and no error message would have suggested that.
But again, you should try disabling Grammarly. @adomasven might have some other suggestions, but I don't know that we've ever seen an error like this happening in a completely empty document, so there's something very unusual going on with your system.
Yippie... something worked.. its repaired itself... Working well now. Thanks for your insights and help. Will ping again in case of any trouble. Warm regards.
Yes, I think you have identified it accurately.
I am attaching screen shots i captured for greater clarity.
