Find matching citation style

Hi!

Is it just me or is it quite tricky to find a citation style if one only has the format but not the name of the style. For example, since previews are shown only when one hovers over the style, it is pretty cumbersome to search for a certain format. And the actual previous are quite limited. For example, there are no page numbers in the citation previews which makes it hard to know what kind of separator is used.

Best wishes,
Daniel
  • You can also use https://editor.citationstyles.org/searchByExample/ to search for matching styles (if you are not already aware about it).
  • I wasn't aware of it actually. Thanks. I played around with it a bit but couldn't figure out how to match a certain delimiter for page numbers since the citation examples don't have them...

Another thing I realised is that I could not find a easy way to figure out which languages are supported since not all styles seem to support different (let alone all) languages.
  • Also, the editor seems not to be working. Whenever I try to download an edited style nothing happens...
  • Well, what institution/journal do you want to submit to? Do you have a link to the guidelines?
  • No institution/journal. No link to guidelines.
