Feature request - Order 'Related'

The "Related" property establishes relations convenient for holding books and their chapters together. It would be a nice to have if chapters could be reordered with the functionality applied to authors/editors i.e. to be able to move a book chapter up or down so that it followed the TOC sequence.
I guess it's possible to name my chapters with a numeric but this would result in lots of chapters with names that begining with 1, 2 or 3 etc.
Thanks for your consideration
  • I agree, ordering options would be very helpful. Currently you get the order with which you added the Related items, which is arbitrary. Being able to move them around (or sort by title) would be great. I mostly use Related for important items in that paper's reference list that I have in my library (or previous important works). But those items are cited in the paper by number or by authors, whereas Related only lists the title. So when reading the paper again I often can't tell when I reach a cited text reference if I've added that paper under Related or not, because the titles under Related don't tell me that (and they're not ordered the same as the reference list). I have to jump to the paper's reference list to check the title so I can see if it's already under Related. That's probably a harder problem to solve, but If hovering over a Related item also showed the authors and year it would go some way to helping with a consequence of arbitrary ordering.
  • I've changed it to sort related items by title for the next Zotero 7 beta.
