There is an approx 30 second delay between my clicking "add/edit citation" in Word and the citation box appearing - both with the new and classic view. Is there something I can do to remove this delay?
What OS? Does this happen in a new, empty document, or only an existing document? If the latter, how many citations? Does it happen if you disable "Automatically update citations" in the plugin's Document Preferences window?
Are you sure it happens for a new, empty document? That wouldn't really make sense. If "Automatically update citations" fixes it, it would just be due to the number of citations in the existing document.
Can you provide Debug ID for reproducing this in a new, empty document? To be clear, I'm asking about just starting a new, empty document and clicking Add/Edit Citation, not copying in your existing document's contents.
Also, what Mac is this, out of curiosity? I assume this is an older machine if it's still running Monterey?

It also happens in new empty documents.
It does not happen when I've disabled "automatically update citations".
