zotero connector not working

dear zotero community,

after many years of faithful service, zotero connector is not working

i tried steps 1-13 of the troubleshooter (https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues)

here are the ingredients for step 14

what it says in the popup when i try to save: Saving to [Folder Name]

the name of the translator from step 10, if applicable: not applicable

Error: HTTP request to http://127.0.0.1:23119/connector/saveItems has timed out after 15000ms

Restart the Zotero app, reload the webpage, and try again. If it still fails, can you provide a Debug ID from Zotero (rather than the Zotero Connector) for reloading the page and trying to save?

thanks for the quick reply

i restarted my computer, and when i opened zotero, all the articles i had hit "add to zotero" appeared in the folder

however, when i tried to add a new paper, i encountered the same issue (zotero connector not able to save)

...but then i tried a couple more times, and it worked. seems to be working consistently now. so i can't generate a debug ID

i will let you know if the problem resumes, but if not thanks for your help
