gdrive document erased while updating zotero; error repor number:719120208

Zotero stoped responding when I was including citations to a gdrive document.
As I quit zotero, both gdrive doc and the original .docx documents vanished from my drive.
Neither documents appear in the trash bin of gdrive, nor do they list in the "recent" files, which I have been working on during the whole day today...

What should I do to recover the files!?

    I can't see how Zotero would possibly be able to do -- or even really be linked to -- something this drastic happening: it inserts text in files, it just doesn't have any code for file delete operations (and obviously this should be impossible to happen from the google end of things -- even if some very weird quirk deleted the files, they should be in the trash).
    The most likely scenario I can think of is that you're looking with the wrong g-suite account? But otherwise, I don't have much of an idea.

    I was signed out of the account in which the files were created!
