[Zotero 7 Beta] "Item Note" vs "Child Note"
In the current beta, I see that "Child Notes" are now called "Item Notes":

Is there any reason to call them "Item Notes" now? "Child Note" felt a bit more clear to me, with the idea that it has a "Parent Item". But I don't know if the vocabulary will change.
In the current Zotero vocabulary, notes are also items, as well as PDF Attachments:
"Item Notes" could thus be interpreted to include both Standalone Notes and Child Notes.

To distinguish from "Annotation Notes" (future "Sticky Notes"?):

A Zotero library is made up of “items”. Items can take several forms: regular items, attachments, and notes.

In general, I think one of the difficulties of Zotero is that you must construct slowly via experience in your head a mental model of a user-level database schema, and it can take a long time to grasp what could be conveyed in documentation: what are the categories of "things" and how are they allowed to be related.
imo.
