Unlinked my account without reading the warning :')

Hey guys,

I was trying to migrate to a completely new zotero account as I'm using a new laptop without realizing that I had already logged into the old one from high school. It didn't show any of my old collections on the Windows program, so I just completely forgot that it had anything to do with the collection I was building up for 2 weeks+. I logged in to the new one and okay-ed deleting my whole library without realizing that it would delete the library locally and not the one on zotero cloud that I was trying to get rid of. Tbh I barely paid attention as I was in a rush for a lab meeting.

I completely 100% understand that this is my fault, but is there ANY way to recover my 2 week old library? I hadn't even set up OneDrive backup cause I was having problems with the account.

I know this may sound dramatic for such a new library but I spent so many hours and so much brain power sourcing literature and online resources that I need to use this week that I'm dry-heaving at the sight of this blank library.
  • There's no way to recover your local data unless you made a backup. But what the dialog explained was that you should make sure you either had a backup or had synced the previous account. Assuming it was synced, you can just switch back to it.
